Saw two (20 round) boxes of these go on GB recently for over $100 shipped: Federal .357 Magnum Hydra-Shok 2 Boxes 357 : Pistol Ammunition at GunBroker.com

I don't know if they're sought after or what, but they seem to be sold out pretty much everywhere online. I know there are a lot of different choices for SD ammo and that ammo selection is a very subjective thing...but I just thought I'd share a link to a site where I found them in stock.

I wanted some of this ammo, so I ordered 3 boxes. They still have some left if anyone was looking for them & couldn't find them or would rather not pay $50+ per 20-round box.

I've got no relation to this site, just thought I'd pass it along: Federal Premium Personal Defense Ammunition PD357HS2H, 357 Remington Mag, Hydra-Shok JHP, 130 GR | Ammunition, Archery, Hunting rifles and shotguns | www.LafayetteShooters.com

They also have the 158gr Hydra-Shoks and the 140gr Vital-Shoks...both in .357 Magnum.

...and yes, I know they aren't exactly "low recoil"!

I spent $50 on 50 rounds of .38 +P JHP just so I could have SOMETHING to put in my new 19-3....I've never seen gouging like this before. Shame on me for spending that much on a box of .38, but at the same time, shame on the stores for quadrupling their profit margin in this time of disparity.

Plain old 158 JHP's shoot better in my 4" Model 19, much tighter groups, maybe it just my gun, but the regular 15 grains of 2400 works better for me.

I bought a box of 158s locally last November before the the current round of craziness. The $22 I paid for them sounds like a real bargain now! I didn't get the nice plastic box, though-the ones I bought were in a cardboard box.
