Hey guys,
My buddy gave me a box of .357sig ammunition, stating that he had no use for it. Well I don't either, but I do have 2 m&p pistols chambered in .40s&w(a shield performance center and a 4.25" barrel full size). I'm looking online and I stumbled across remsport conversion barrels. They have ported and non ported version for the shield. Does anybody have any experience with these? If so, are they of decent quality? And should I go with the ported option since my shield has the slide ports or do you think it best to just stick with the standard version? Thank you in advance for any and all advice given. I really would like an excuse to shoot this box if ammo.

P.S. If you have any suggestions otherwise for a conversion barrel for either of my .40s, I am all ears.

Why not just buy a Smith & Wesson Factory original 357SIG barrel for the M&P? I am sure many are still out there

I cant find one.

Unfortunately, there don't seem to be many, if any, up for grabs out there. Every listing I come across is already sold, sold out, discontinued, or some other variation of those. Plus from what I saw in my searches, it might be cheaper to buy another shield or full size 40 and a .357sig barrel for it than to buy an original m&p357.

Well I got my barrel in the mail yesterday. Dropped in as advertised. The feed ramp seems a bit more steep than the .40, which causes you to have to slingshot the slide home instead of just dropping the slide lock. Other than that, through 55 rounds, it fed perfectly. The recoil seems slightly less than the .40, but I'm going to need to practice with better ammo, because the stuff I had was good for cool fireballs and not much else. Hopefully I can find some decent ammo to try with it soon. I will be finishing my glock 35 build next month some time and will get a .357sig barrel for that as well and see how it does. Luckily lone wolf offers the exact same threaded barrel that I have for the 35 in .40s&w, so I can get a nice compensator for it if need be. I will give further updates as I go. And suggestions for a good comp and maybe down the road, a gas pedal are greatly welcomed.

Years ago i just bought a 357sig reamer to cut my own 9mm barrels.
And I believe that they only made the M&P in 357sig for a couple of years. Same as the sigma.
