One of the most unfortunate characteristics of social media is that people seem to lose sight of the fact that there's a real, live, human being on the other side of that computer screen. People write things online that they would never, ever say in person to someone else.

Absent The Rules, the S&W Forum would be just another internet sewer. Thanks Chad — to you and the other moderators — for keeping this the most civilized site on the web.

It's a frustrating time right now. Often calls for what Mom told us when we were little tikes - "If you can't say something nice, just don't say anything." A lot of wisdom in that simple little sentence.
