I'm looking at a 36-1 in VG condition w/ aftermarket stocks. The price is on the higher end of the scale. Is there any premium for a factory nickel revolver?

A nickel Chiefs Special does tend to command a higher price than
its blue sibling, yes. How much? That's subjective. The retail price
was always a wee bit higher for a nickel Chiefs Special.
The company produced fewer nickel ones so that's a factor to
consider. Some on this forum say only about five percent had a
nickel finish. The database does not corroborate that claim, but
it comprises examples known to exist, which is not a true measure
of how many the company produced.
