360PD Advice

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for years.

I am considering doing a trade in a little bit for a used 360PD with Lasermax grips. I have not seen it in person, but from looking at the pictures, it seems like there is some wear on the titanium cylinder (I thought it was just dirty until I read a little on it). What do you guys think? Is it excessive and should I be worried? Also, for the sake of being curious, what would you value the gun + lasermax grips? I only have the one pic since the other one is really blurry, making it practically useless.

The 360s are good carry guns. What sort of trade will you be making?

A CPO Sig + cash + ammo. Basically got $785 invested on my end.

Edit: Oh, and he's got about $75 in ammo on his end with the box for the Lasermax grips and the original two screws for the side plate (not sure that's what it's called).

In my opinion that's pretty high for an alloy j-frame and will leave you at the short end of the stick. Is the 360 a 38 or 357?

It's a scandium frame, chambered in .357 magnum.

Got that gun,let me see the other side,does it have the marking.

The pic of the other side is really fuzzy and the marking is covered with the lasermax sight.

Hi, welcome to the Forum. Great to have a new member. I own an early 360Sc, purchased in September 2001. As on the gun in the photo, the titanium cylinder on my 360 shows some discoloration from firing. It does not worry me. I clean as I would any revolver; I do NOT attempt to scour these discolored areas. Some try and damage the cylinder, from what I've read on this Forum.

I would be very reluctant to buy a used revolver in this manner. I much prefer examining 'in the flesh.' No way of knowing if any mods (proper or otherwise) were performed on the gun, what wear it has incurred, if the owner has properly cared for the gun. All you have to go on is the word of the owner. I'm an 'iron sight' person and know nothing about the sight the owner has installed. I would prefer the gun to be as original as possible.

In summary, 'would be very reluctant to' means 'would not.' Be very cautious. Trade in your gun for a new 360 in a shop.
