360PD hammer mod/replacement?

I have a 360PD with a hammer that's like a fish hook. Normally I'd just bob it but understand the newer J frames use a potted metal hammer that cuts ugly. Anybody out there making a replacement hammer? Anyone had success bobbing one of these?
All thoughts appreciated and may save me from selling this otherwise nice gun.

The race gun guys over on Enos cut MIM hammers all the time. They look fine.

I have a 360J an had a partial bob done on the hammer when I was having some other work done. It was done by Pinnacle High Performance and the type of metal was never discussed, so I'd say it's no big deal.

I bought a 340PD hammer from a forum member for $15 and stuck it in my 360PD. Works great. The revolver becomes DA only because there's nothing to manually cock the hammer with, but that was the idea.
