Hey guys.
So the hammer on my 360PD was chipped a while back....(Dropped it!!)....and now I want to either replace it and/or bob a hammer to help with my concealed carry draw. That hammer snags on occasion.
Anyhow, where should I get the hammer from and should I replace it myself? I'm very mechanically inclined but was told to leave the sideplate alone on a Smith as they are easily bent.
Is there a walkthrough somewhere on replacing the hammer?
Also, I want to have my gun refinished as it's got the usual dings and such where the black is coming off and I can see silver flecks coming from underneath.
Who should I get to do the refinishing? Should I send it to S&W and have them do it or somewhere else?
Lastly.....
The hammer, when manually cocked I guess??, touches the frame of the gun and has worn some of the black finish off. Is there any way to remedy this?
Thanks guys!
