Anybody know where to get any???
I have Good .38 Special to trade, both Defense & Ball.
PM or Email.
Thanks.
If this keeps up, might have to get a damn Ruger LCR in .32
At least you can find .32 Long, albeit for usurious prices.
I can't shoot .38 Special very good anymore because of the recoil.

I'm not sure where to find the Colt shorts or the S&W shorts either but you can make them by making 38 spl cases shorter. I have some .38 S&W cases but not the die's for that round. Pressed them in my .38 spl dies and load accordingly and they work fine. Just a thought. The choice is yours.

Thanks Llance, but my reloading days are in the rearview mirror.

Just out in the grudge.. looking for some ammo and brass stored out there..found 2 boxes of Rem 38 short Colt brass and 2 boxes of 38 Short ammo. Didn't remember I had it. There was also a box of HSM 44 mag ammo with 305 gr lead bullets...I am not gonna shoot that either. It sounds like PAIN. On another note I did find the 32 S&W (short) brass I was looking for. Someone gave me a set of dies in that cal...and 2 boxes of Hornady 85 gr 32 cal XTPs. He also gave me a set of Lee dies in 44 Russian

It wasn't too long ago that .38 SC ammo was being made, and maybe it still is. It was, and may still be, popular among the ICORE competition shooters who like to use it in .38 Special revolvers. You might check the ICORE webpage. Also, have you checked the usual internet ammo sources? I came into several hundred rounds of new .38 SC brass five or so years ago, and like to use .38 SC in my .38 snubbies (they have short extractor rods), as the empties eject more fully than .38 Special. The cases are very close to .38 S&W, and I imagine that they could be made by resizing .38 S&W brass, but I have not tried that. Shortening .38 Special cases is another way, but entails a lot of labor.
