Hello all. New guy here. I'm searching for some info on this nice little shooter.

Welcome aboard from ol' Wyo.

Appears to be a Model 60.

Roll out the cylinder, and you should see MOD. 60 stamped on the frame in the yoke cut.

add: after looking in the database there are other Model 60s near it, serial number-wise. S&W probably shipped in in the spring of '83.

In addition to Post 2, the dash number (i.e. Mod 60-1,2,3,4,5,6,7) will then provide some other engineering info or differences about the specific model which someone will be able to share.

In addition to Post 2, the dash number (i.e. Mod 60-1,2,3,4,5,6,7) ....

In that serial number range there will not be a "dash number."

Get on Gun Broker. Sign in. Then go "advanced" and search "completed auctions" for "S&W Model 60." Pay attention to the auctions ending with a "sold." That will give you a ballpark value idea.
