Wife took her 380EZ to the range today. We were shooting from 30'. Neither one of us could hit an 8" target even from a rest. It probably has been a year since either one has shot it. I am going to look into the aiming tonite with a bore scope.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Good question. Being an senior citizen I don't honestly remember!! I will look at the sites tomorrow to see if the set screw came loose and they moved.

I had to put some purple locktite on mine. The rear site kept coming loose

Were it my pistol, I would bring the target in closer until getting hits. Location of bullet holes would give a clue as to the sight problem.

For me 30 feet seems like a long distance to practice. My rationale is that I don't have 30 feet of open space in my home. I'd have to be outside and then I'd be looking at an escape route before shooting. I read a lot about a particular gun shooting low and left or high and right..I suspect most of that is the shooter and not the gun. I understand that sites are very important for competition shooting but for self defense I say aim and squeeze...........A small chewed piece for gum on the end of the barrel would work.

Understanding that at some ranges the distance is set and not adjustable. But if it the distance can vary, I would start at say 5 yards and see what the group and overall target looks like. If good, then move to 7-8 yards and again once good then to 10. As if there's a problem at 5 yds it will only magnify as the distance increases.
Only my .02 of course, but even after 1000's of rounds I still start closer and move out. Especially if it has been awhile like the past year due to covid issues and closures.
