So I was taking my new Colt 2" King Cobra .22 for it's first to the range today. Grabbed some CCI mini-mags (have a bunch) and some Aguila to run through the gun. I also had my 4" 17-6 with me as it was in the range bag from last week's session. Well I get to the range and take the Aguila out and realize that instead of LR's I grabbed some shorts that I had bought for my pocket pistols. I didn't want to use the shorts in the Colt as I was getting sighted in and I was getting used to it. So, I put some through the 17-6. Now I was only shooting at 10 yards as the rest of the range was under water, but I was surprised at how the shorts were hitting at point of aim. I am sure as distances stretched out the discrepency would have grown.
I am glad the 17-6 has the full lug barrel as the recoil from the shorts was vicious, but I manned up and accepted the challenge.
