Looking to carry a lightweight 357 on my dirtbike in the mountains. It won’t be a range gun. What particular failure points of the gun should I be looking for in an inspection? What questions should I ask of the seller? Are there any parts that aren’t available?
Thank you

Rich,

I love the 386pd. It would be great for your mission. Most scandium guns can crack under the barrel where the cylinder yoke closes up. It usual runs from under the forcing cone forward. Would be obvious if you look there and it was cracked.

I’ve never had one fail nor ended up buying one that was cracked. In fact, I’ve not seen one in person that has the crack. There are plenty of threads on scandium cracks.

I enjoy my 357 scandium guns very much.
