In my never ending hunt for Gen 3s, I came across this 39-2 Devel Custom. I'm trying to figure out if I should pull the trigger so to speak. What would you think the value of this one is? It doesn't look like it's been fired much but I think it was a carry gun based on the overall condition. It's just the gun and 3 mags.

Grab it !!! Very collectible.

Without a doubt highly collectable but as an FFL, I need to make sure I don't take a bath on it if I pick it up. This one would unfortunately be for me to sell and I don't know enough about these to accurately gauge the value, especially in this condition.

As I said in my ASP Thread, They are all pricey! I dont think there is a
price that you can say is good or outrageous. All gun prices are outrageous
to an old 75 yr. old that remembers prices from the 1950s. I just bought an
ASP and 2mags for $3000. Yea, I guess pricey. But in 1972 the cost of the conversion was $475 plus the cost of your 39. Now, thats pricey.

This one is priced at $2,000 and I'm just not sure if there's any room for profit if I throw it on gunbroker.

I had a Devel Gammons 1 of 21 that I sold 3 years ago, got 5k for it.

I'd say there's money to be made on that as is on GB.
Or send it off to BMCM or Guzzi for a spa treatment and make even more:)

Even if you only made say $100 by reselling it, you'd still be able to say that you once had one.
Most of us have never even seen one in the flesh.
"220" was added to the end of the serial number - does that indicate the 220th conversion they'd done?

In as is condition very likely to double your money maybe more.

Wanted one badly back in the 80s..... could have afforded it but just couldn't "pull the trigger" sight unseen.

I thanked God every night since 1989 for the 3913/14 family of guns!!!!!!

Especially the NL versions, w/ Hogue checkered wood grips and my stash of 7rd flush fit magazines!

They make me :)

Yea, but Mr. Bam, it aint a Devel or ASP!. But neat little guns. Have one.

But I have more than 3 mags that fit my gun ....... a nice "stash" in both 7 [steel bottom/flush fit] and 8rd configuration!!!

And a "backup" or two.

IIRC the Trapper then the Devel were my favorites...... was never sure of the ASP's "sight"

Hey Bam, dont know much about the Trapper. Whats the poop on it? Who made it and when? I agree, the Guttersnipe is unusual and have never seen another gun with it.
