39-2 Magazines

I know I read on here about a dif brand of magazines someone was using with their 39-2 that were flawless, but cant seem to find that post. Can anyone point me in the right direction for some mags? I see midway and gunclips has some, but dont want to order something if its not very good.

Midway sells S&W mags for the 39-2 for about $10 less than S&W. You can't find a better mag for the 39 than the Smith brand.

Yes, these will function in a 39-2 but they are not the original style magazine. They extend a little beyond the grip. I personally do not like them in my 39-2 or 639.

I believe it was a Pro Mag magazine that BrianE was inquiring about. Normally I do not care for Pro Mag magazines but the Pro Mag magazine for the 39 does function and fits better than even the S&W magazines referenced above. The only fault I have is that the base plate is longer than the original S&W.

I own a 39-2 plus one of the newer S&W mags posted above. Although not original, it works fine.

Alright, Ill get one and see how it works. The original magazine it came with has a weak sprong which was causing some FTF's (3 out of 50 rds)? Or so I think anyway.
