Just asking a question: the 39-2 and 52-2 are so similar - can any of the parts of a 39-2 be replaced to increase the accuracy to that of the 52-2? What work have you had done that is worth the cost and improves the accuracy? Are any parts interchangable? Looking to see if I can build a 9mm 52-2. Verse buying the new 952.

Hello, here is some info you may find useful. I was having a conversation with a gunsmith that I used to work for about ten years ago, he is now retired but had been in business for about 45 years doing work on many different handguns. I told him about a 52 that I recently bought and he mentioned that he would swap the top end from a 39 onto a 52 frame to have a 9mm with a great trigger. He said it was a lot of work to get everything together right and that I had better not ask him to do this on mine. If you factor in the cost of buying the parts and then the gunsmithing to modify a 52-whatever I think you would be spending as much as a 952 would run. That is my take on this, probably not cost effective and you would not have a 5 inch barrel when done either.

I have both guns, the 39-2 slide does not fit on the 52-2 frame. It would require precision fitting. I would suggest getting a 952, it will probably more accurate than the conversion you are proposing anyway.
