Hi all, my search powers must be weak. Can't find the info I seek, so here goes.......anyone know if rear sight blades are inter-changeable between the 39-2 rear sight and a k/l frame revolver?

It's the standard lollipop rear sight. Shoots about 5" high at 25yds with 124gr ammo.

Thanks in advance.

I don't believe they are the same. (interchangeable) Part numbers in catalog are different for the auto vs revolver sight slides. All of the adjustable sight slide inserts for the autos appear to be .130" in height, so it seems they only produced one standard height blade for these sights. (.130")

Can you measure the height of the existing blade. Just the blade itself, not the sight body.

Is it possible that someone has tampered with the height of the front sight? (does it appear to have been cut down?)
It might be easier to add some material to the front blade and re-profile, than to try alter or replace the rear blade.

Thanks for your response Armorer. It does indeed measure .130
Midway shows a .110 blade for a K frame, but agree with you, I doubt It'll fit.

Midway also shows a short one for a J frame, but imagine that would be too small.

Front sight appears unmolested.

Maybe I'll just move my target to 50 yds. :)

Search for the fully adjustable rear sight.
