yesterday I got a real nice nickel 39-2 for $379.I will get pictures up monday of it.it came with 2 factory mags and a off brand longer 10 rd mag.

Took my nickel 39-2 out for the second time yesterday. After 150 rnds, I am so glad the 2 people that I gave a chance to buy or trade for it turned it down! This is one of the sweetest shooters I've had in a long time! If you enjoy yours as much as I do mine, you'll have it a long time! Congrats!

I've long wondered why the Model 39's seem to be undervalued. Is it because they made a lot of them? Is it the alloy frame? Just haven't caught on yet with collectors?

I don't know, but I have one and LOVE it. I have never held an auto pistol that felt better in my hand, or pointed as naturally. I'm normally a square-butt k-frame guy, and those are the king for me for feeling "right", but the 39 feels darn near perfect to me.

I have four 39-2s, three safe queens and one old beat up with scratched-up grips that I carry daily. I also have a M&P-9 and a M&P-9c that don't shoot near as nice as the 39. The 39 will eat any ammo I feed it. I love my 39-2, will not leave home with out it.
