Just playing around with the camera, I've had this 39 for sixteen years and the 52 for less than two. The 39 is the best looking auto ever made IMO. I had always wanted a 52 and finally found a clean one for a good price and jumped on it, it shoots like a dream with 2.6 grains of bullseye and a 148 WC.

Some seriously cool grain on the 39 grips, & the more I look at the 52 grips, the more I'm liking those too! Nice work, yours I assume.
All that pic is missing is a 41, and it will have my 3 favorite S&W autos.

I don't believe I've ever seen more beautiful grips on an auto than you've got on those two! Thanks for the look,

Jerry

Lovely... simply lovely...

Who made the stocks on the guns?

Thanks

Chuck

The grips on the 52 are black walnut and were made smooth for my dad when he owned the gun. When he passed away and the gun came to me I decided to fancy them up as a way to honor his memory. The set on the 39 were made last sunday and are french walnut, I'm going to checker them in the factory pattern when I get the time. Thanks for the compliments fellas.

Since this thread is about the 39/52 I thought that a picture of my 39 frame with 52 upper was appropriate. The fancy grips are cut down from a S&W 59. This gun shoots as well as my 52-1 or 52-2.
