Ok, so the deal is my 3906 has what I can only describe as "play in it" When in single action, the trigger will dangle a little. It does functions fine. Never any problems. However I know that it is not suppose to be this way.
If I field strip the firearm, and apply slight pressure to the triggers group area,
right in front of the trigger play spring, the problem is solved.
What would you guys say is the problem?
I do not want to send it back to smith for what appears to be a simple problem. just asking for advice due to curiosity. I play on doing a tune up, just want to know what the problem is before my spring kit/ tune up kit arrives. I also feel that I might have missed something and a tune up will not help, so please help.
1) trigger play spring
2) trigger plunger spring
3) replace all the springs due to someone not reading the post and telling me what I am not asking.
4) something else I missed
