I recently got a 3913 on the forum from Dustin78. I had one when they first came out, and always thought they were better in the accuracy department than their bigger brothers.

Then I shot mine today. WOW! Butter smooth double action, single action very crisp and very, very accurate.

Never been a big fan of their autos and the Blue Book and most buyers are not very kind to the autos as far as price. But this 3913-makes me rethink S&W autos.

BTW, this is a late one, 8 round mags, and I wonder if they tweaked it a bit as time went on.

Regardless, this is a keeper.

Thanks Dustin.

The 3913 in my opinion is one of the very best CC guns made by anybody! I have let several of my students use mine and they ALL shoot it very well. I has never had a problem of any kind with ANY ammo from ANT manufacturer including questionable reloads. A good friend of mine said that it was boring to shoot....all of the rounds were stacked up on top of each other!! What a gun from S&W or any one else for that matter.

Ditto the previous comments. S&W's best effort to date, in a CCW pistol.

Great trigger, superbly reliable, and accurate, in an easily concealed package. Mine is an early version with flash chromed hammer and trigger. The last S&W pistol I would sell, and my most carried handgun. Regards 18DAI.

I bought my first 3914 in 1988 or 89 when they first came out. 8-round magazines back then, too. I've had a 3953 and a 3913 since then, all came with 8-rounders. I picked up a spare flat-floorplate 7-rounder for when I carry it in my jeans pocket.

My little brother got one on GunBroker and the sights weren't hitting on for him. We drifted them over and I handed the gun back to him - his first shot was at a 210-yard gone . . . and he hit it! No doubt; they're good guns.

Back in the Nineties, I won a few matches with mine; the other competitors seemed to think it was a handicap, until they handed out the trophies...
