I haven't been on here since 8/07, the last time I had a question about S&W autos. You guys helped me then and I'm back for more.

Bought a 3913 w/ serial no LLF16xx and am having trouble finding a holster. Did they change the trigger guard? All I've tried cause the gun to stick up too far dang near exposing the trigger. It's like the gun won't fully seat in the holster.

Thx. -A

What brand holster did you buy?,what model 3913 do you have?.is it a tactical w/rail does it have a square or round trigger guard. All these factors must be considered.I've just ordered a Aker #160 IWB SW3900 series[064],can let you know how it fits when it arrives.

I buy quite a few 3rd Gen holsters off eBay and off the classified (here and elsewhere). Just remember that the slide on the 6906 (for example) and the 3913 are the same size, which means holsters for either will fit. So don't limit your holster search to just 3913, look for 6906, 6904, 3913 and 3914. Also the open bottom holsters for the 5903, 5906, 5904, 4003, 4006, 411 and 915 will fit also. I know, fun stuff trying to keep track of all the model numbers.

My gun is an older model, no rail, round guard. I tried a one size fits several type off e-bay and a custom job that was supposedly model specific. I'll check the classifieds here.

I bought the 3913 because of it's concealability. And my 1911 pulls at the waist. But the 1911 seems more secure in the Galco Quick Slide. Maybe it's the 3913s light weight that has me spooked. Feels like it's gonna fall out. Probably should have a retention strap.

It sounds like you have the 3913 with the square trigger guard. Later ones had a rounded trigger guard. Although the statements others have made above about holsters from other models fitting the 3913 are correct, many of those other models have the same trigger guard issue. When you buy a holster you usually have to check which trigger guard it fits (there are SOME holster models that will fit either trigger guard).

I do not believe that S&W ever made a 3913 / 3914 with the hooked guard.

As a side note, I recently purchased a Milt Sparks IWB holster that was made for a SIG 239. It fits my 3914 (black 3913) like it was made for it. So if you run across a nice used Sig 239 holster, consider buying it and trying it out for your 3913. If it doesn't fit, you can always put it back up for sale on the SigForum.com.

Good luck!

As a rule, this is true for leather. However my bladeTech for a 3913 will not accomodate a 6906 because the frame is wider.

You might call Greg Kramer at Kramer Leather...I believe he is still producing holster for your 3913. I use a #3 IWB as do many of my colleagues. Might work for you as well.

Greg Kramer and Dave Workman up in Washington state also make good holsters for the 3913, among others.

I carry my 3913 in a Kramer IWB, and a 4563 or 4003 in a Workman T-Bar II (IWB). Both are great holsters.

I've worn my new custom made 3913 holster twice. If this is the style your looking for, I might consider selling it. It's for the round trigger guard with OWB belt straps.

I have found that a 3953 and 3954 will not fit a holster for a 3913 or 3914 The DAO hammer will not alow the strap on many thumb break holsters to snap. Bianchi as well as others.

Just received a Bianchi "Black Widow" that fits the gun perfectly. Gun rides high and close to the body. The leather is not too thick and therefore light. Just what I was lokking for. Thanks all!

I looked for a holster for my 3913 for a while, but finally settled on a convertible holster from Carl Collins (CC Holsters).

The fit and finish of the holster rivals that of holsters I have that cost twice as much.

Hope this helps,
Todd

Boredog that Holster that JamesAurthur60 has offered looks very comfy..
It appears to made just like Lou Alessi's CQC/S = NICE!!
That is a realy nice looking unit..
The best IWBs I ever had for a 3913 were Kramers..
