I just picked up a 3913 and need a holster.

I'm looking for an IWB. Any suggestions?

Looks like 3913 holsters are not super popular. What other holsters will fit? 6906 seems like a good fit. Any others?

Thanks in advance.

Call Greg Kramer and order a #2 or #3 IWB from him. You will NOT regret it. I use mine daily and think the world of it.
Your 3913 will fit many other S&W holsters all 3900-5900 series Third Gen, 908, 6906, as well as some Sig 239,
If you need more help let me know...I've helped others find good holsters for their 3913's as well.

For my 3913 I use a bianchi model 100 size 12 for IWB and sometimes pocket carry, also I have a crossbreed supertuck (just tell them the gun model and they custom the kydex), and I just had Ross Leather custom a pocket holster for me. They just shipped it yesterday so I don't have it yet. RR

growr is right. He helped me by suggesting Kramer. Kramer HAD a "box full" of 3913 holsters he didn't know he had, and I got mine right away. No wait, no delay.

Thanks for the pointer. I looked at the Kramer holster. Probably a great holster, but I'm not wild about having the belt loops at the widest point of the gun. I have a Milt Sparks VM2 for a Sig that is super comfortable and conceals well, so I think I'm going to try to find something similar.

I'm considering either a Fist #20:

or a K&D Holsters

Anybody tried one of these?

I have a Dakota Defender & I like it. I haven't worn it much at all, but it seems like a good holster.

The VMII has the loops at the widest point and you like it, so what exactly are you looking for.

FYI, I have a 99% condition VMII for the 3913 that may show up on the classifieds if it does not go with my gun for sale.

Maybe I should have said "thickest".

The Kramer design, where the loops attach right on top of the gun, makes the overall package thicker. The placement of the loops on the VM2 and similar designs keep the profile as slim as possible.

My Milt Sparks Summer Special IWB for my 3913NL works great for me, Note how the belt loop is attached near the trigger gaurd & not over the slide, It carries well with minimum bulk..

I used to own the K&D Dakota defender for the 3913 as pictured. It was ok but I wasn't impressed with it. Good concept but didn't fit my body style. The suede backing was a nice touch. I sold it a few months ago. I also prefer a holster with its loops spread out further to balance and offset the weight of the pistol. I really like the leather/Kydex from FIST as you can customize however you like to fit your tastes but I haven't tried that exact model pictured

I highly recommend Ken Nulls UNS. Very fast acquisition and you do not notice it is there. It also requires no readjusting or fiddling with for comfort even if worn all day.

Thanks for the great UNS photos.

While that does place the snaps at the wider/thicker part of the pistol, I really like the leather extending out the sides. I'm sure that makes it much more comfortable.

Reminds me a little of the Brommeland MaxCon V. That's a favorite of mine.

I got a shock this week. I've owned a 3913 for years, and carry it in a Safariland paddlewith a safety strap over the back of the slide. I've always wanted the slick slide version, the 3953, and found one LNIB with 3 mags this week. I was going to carry it, and put it in the paddle holster, and the strap wouldn't snap. I compared the 3913 to the 3953, and the 3953 has a longer slide by about a 1/4". Still like it. Dug out a belt slide an Illinois State Police officer friend gave me.

Milt Sparks for sure. I carried a 4516 for more miles than you can imagine in an Exec Companion. To tell the truth, the watch 6 is better...belt loops offset from the gun and thinner. And get a good belt from him, or Galco. Makes all the difference carrying during a 14 hour day.

The studs are quite well placed and make no difference in the concealability, in fact I'd say that it is the most concealable rig I have ever used. I've had Delfatti's, Milt Sparks, Bulman, and the list goes on.... I always go back for the UNS for the 3913, it's the perfect partnership.

Hey Buzz, I've tried both.

I had a FIST #20 but I sold it. Quality was awesome but it did not agree with my body. It was for a J frame.

I have five holsters from K&D. Three of them are Cochise Defenders, which are similar to the Dakota Defenders except with a reinforced mouth.

The Cochise Defenders I have are for a 4" HB K frame, M&P compact, and 915. They are, by far, the most concealable and comfortable holsters I have ever worn. He makes them for the 3913 and he would be my top pick.

Thanks for your input. In fact, I've got an order right now in with K&D for a J-frame holster that I could switch to the 3913. I've been waiting since mid-September.
