3913 Lady Smith?

cool

I didn't know there were blue (black) 3914 Ladysmiths.

I'd have no problem at all rockin' a Ladysmith by the way. But I do prefer the dark 3914's to the 3913's although they're harder to find it seems.

I would love to purchase a new or new / used S&W 3913nl with "lady Smith". Any ideas where I can purchase one?

keep an eye on the classifieds here, as well as gunbroker and gunsamerica. they show up fairly often.

It's a "NL" or unmarked Ladysmith, not a regular 3913. Tapered frame is the big difference. I carry mine a lot...you'll LOVE it.

I'm an old geezer and technology seems to escape me, so I do not know how to post pictures.

I was not aware they made a blued LS (black actually) until I was talking to a S&W fan at the club. They are marked 3914 just above the SN, and have Lady Smith on the right side of the slide. It was not easy to find one; took me over two years.

Appaling to hear that someone tried to buff out the Lady Smith on a pistol. Fortunately, most of us are secure enough in our tighty whities that is not an issue. Sure glad they didn't make one in pink, though.;)

It sounds like you guys are talking about something like this.
Here's my 3914 NL
Left sided only safety, Low profile safety and slide stop levers, in Black.

There are a bunch of 3913s and 3953s on GA looks like LEO trade ins

Actually that two years I spent looking for one on line only uncovered one. However, it was too beat up. I found mine thru INGO (Indiana Gun Owners) and did a trade. Just about lost my cool when I saw it; almost perfect condition. Had a huge grin on my face for quite a while.

It looks to me that it has a regular 3913 slide on it. It is not slanted in the front but has the cuts of the regular slide in the front.

I have to agree with Ken4, it looks like a standard 3913 slide on a Lady Smith frame. Either way its still one of the best S&W semi autos ever made.

Could this be a 6906 slide ? I have one and the photos appear the same.

I thought the slides were the same width, and only the frames were narrower.

You have a standard 3913 slide on a 3913LS frame.

And the NL stood for "New Look" according to S&W when I boutght mine back in the mid 90's. The only difference btw the LS and NL was the :Ladysmith" engraving and the LS came with a soft side zip up case.
other then that, the grips were both grey and all parts are inter-changeable. My NL came with a single sided safety and the box is marked NL

My 3913NL also has the single sided safety and the box is marked NL.
