Is it possible to remove the mag disconnect easily from my Md 3913. I have no problem taking any gun completely apart(except a 1903 Colt)so the actual work is not a problem.

you have to remove the rear sight to access the plunger and spring.
sometimes sights are pressed on hard meaning a sight tool or run the risk of brass tracks or a punch slipping and dinking you gun in other areas.
also, I have asked this question twice in the history of this forum and have yet to find a failure of any kind involving a SW mag disconnect.

There was a long discussion over this on Ambackforums Gun Zone section around October, 2006. It's suggested reading before removing factory safety devices.
