There's an interesting 3913 listed on Gunbroker that looks like the slide has been modified with additional "channels" cut out. The normal serrated areas on sides of slide have been replaced with slanted channels, as well as another set of slanted channels forward on the slide. Also appears that there are two long channels scooped out that run along top corners of slide and maybe some "melting" of edges. I'm guessing the vertical channels are for racking and the top channels are for aesthetics.

Is this custom, or is the slide from a different model? If custom, it looks like it was done well. If I hadn't just bought a second 3913, I'd be tempted to pick it up.

Looks custom to me.
Mods will probably delete this thread. Best to screenshot a pic of the gun and post that without referencing an active auction.

This gun has been listed before with no takers. I was surprised as it looks well done. The only thing I would consider is the decreased slide mass so maybe a different weight recoil spring. Other than that I like the look and the single sided safety.

I removed the link.

Yeah, I thought it looked kinda cool. As long as slide integrity wasn't compromised. Definitely looks like it was inspired by Asp and Devel slides.

Looks cool, but personally, I prefer a really good gripping surface for slide racking purposes.

Looks like they cut out the serrations. Also noticed they put a single sided safety, but said the original was included. It did look nice.

Rosewood

Looks like a previous owner had a hankering for his 3913 to look like at least somewhat similar to the original ASP conversion of a 39, except the slide reductions are angled (versus straight/vertical), and the front ones are placed too far back from the muzzle and are too short (not extending to the end of the slide).
