3913 NL

I recently purchased a first year production, mint condition 3913 NL. The previous owner had replaced the original factory Novak style 3 dot sights with Trijicon low profile night sights (now nearly dead). I am not interested in re-furbishing the night sights.

I am looking for a mint condition set of original S&W Novak 3 dot sights, (front and rear with screw, new or takeoff) for this pistol.

She currently groups a tight 2 inches at 15 yards but about 4 inches low. Trijicon rear sight is just too low.

Dig in those parts bins and let me know what you have

Note the front sights do come in different heights. There are a few diffent heights, I think four.

Midwayusa and/or Brownells has replacement sights.
I have the part numbers at home.

I would trade my sights for what I am looking for.

Trijicons are from 1992 and are nearly dead. They would need to be re-tubed.

I understand that the 3913 NL's were famous for shooting low, so I probably need a shorter front sight.

Does anyone know the heights, part numbers, etc that were made for S&W?

Also does anyone know what height front sight came on this pistol from the factory?

I hadn't heard that before.....but mine does in my hand....I guess I will stick with plan A and go for the xs 24/7 big dot....good luck
