3913TSW Questions, Value, Desireability

There’s a pre-rail 3913TSW with 5 magazines for $500 down in my part of the country. If I needed another one, it would no longer be for sale.

For that price, you really need another one - or at least I would. 3 extra Mags easily worth $150-200. Makes the pistol with 2 mags a steal effectively at $350.

The seller wants $900 and it has a few handling marks (see pic), on the beaver tail and some on rail. Even though I'm in CA I just passed up as LNIB 3913 with all factory goodies for $650. I'm now having serious regrets on that one. Hind site is 20-20!

The $650 for a LNIB 3913 sounds on target to me especially if you are in CA. But the $900 would seem significantly high for a used 3913TSW regardless of case - as you expected.

One additional thing to check before you decide on a used 3rd gen pistol with aluminum frame --- If it has been abused (fired with very hot loads especially with a weak recoil spring), there may be damage to the ramp in the frame where barrel slides down on recoil. I have seen this twice - once on a 5903TSW that I returned. I always replace recoil spring on an unknown pistol on purchase - cheap insurance.

I cant really comment on CA prices but to me it would be a $600 pistol with 2 mags and matching case. Maybe add $50 for the 3rd mag.

If you are comparing to online prices (GB, etc) remember that buying on line figure $100 for tax and shipping and another $25 + for FFL on receiving end.

But still way to o high for me - offer $600 and settle for $650 ($700 tops unless you are in love with it).

I see maybe 2 3913's a year for sale around me. Some years maybe only 1. Haven't seen a NIB one in years. Sometimes I wish I was more impulsive!
