I have recently received a 6906 from my father. This little gun is sweet, but it is my only 9mm.

Does S&W make a 40 with the same (or close) size as the 6906?

I have a 4013 single stack that I really enjoy, don't get to shoot as much as I like; and trust.

The 4013 whether single or double stack is an excellent handgun. Looks like a 6906 buffed up.

The 4013 is excellent . . . and . . . the 4014 ain't too shabby either.

The early 4013TSW '98-99 pre-rail would be the closest thing to a 6906. The single stacks were based on the compact 45 frame and are slightly larger. I never cared for the later TSW compacts with the rail, just never seemed right on a compact gun to me.

I once owned a 4013TSW. It was a great pistol.

Same gun as the 6906.

Get a Pre-Rail Model.

God Bless!!!

I just bought a S&W 4013,The man had it for ten years and never shot it. This was the first time I had a hand gun that felt sooooo good in my hand , and shot so smooth. Just like it was part of me, at first I thought it may have a little slop in barrel but with a little oil and 100 rounds it was great. Now I want another one for my daughter, If I can find one.

Almost forgot Now I need to find instructions on how to break it down, any ideas were I can find a copy? Could only clean what I could reach without a break down.

The unloaded weapon in your left hand. Your hand on top. Two fingers in front of the rear sight, your thumb under the grip spur. Pull the slide back until the lock lever lines up with the notch in the slide on the left side. Push the slide lock from right to left out of the weapon. Remove the slide forward. Be careful not to let the springs and rod fly.
When you slide the assembly back together you will need to depress the small blades. When your slide is past them, assume the "vulcan" grip again to pull the slide back. Insert the slide lock.
This is a great weapon. Mine has served me well. Absolutely no malfunctions! NONE! Since 7-12-94.
My only issue is sometimes it leaves a loose round in the frame when I remove a -1 magazine. Not really an issue

The 4013 was more like a .40 version of the 4516 or 457 (single stack). the PC Shorty Forty was a double stack closer to your 6906.

I had never heard of or knew there was a 4014. That's awesome. The 4013 is a great gun, carried one for years.
