Using guns

The target sights are itchy, I stick with a short barreled HD for smoother skin.
About the only thing to me that looks like an add on on the S&W are the adj rear sights. Never have cared for them all that much myself Nice for target shooting I guess but the rear sight and the hammer spur I remove on my using smittys' Put on a fixed sight and trim down the front where I need it to be and no more problems with hanging on your clothing etc. Works well for me anyway and they are just as accurate. Wish fixed sights were an option today when buying their wheel guns. Popper

That is why I love fixed sights so much! And then with heavy barrels! The 10's, 13's, 581's, 681's. But my all time favorite is the 58! Now I do keep my hammer spur as I only shoot double action but if I am going for a long shot, I will cock the hammer with my thumb and shot!:D

I have a 28-2 that I carry every once in a while with a couple of speed loaders.

Great, great gun.

I am a big fan of fixed sight Smiths..when venturing into Indian Country this 1965 S prefix Model 58 is a comforting companion.

A true dual purpose weapon..big stopping power and doubles as a flamethrower..:D
