You'll end up with both barrel lengths (and more) eventually so might just as well keep the 6 and buy the 4.

True...I live by the mantra of "Guns will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no guns"...Buy it you can always sell it. I have never regretted buying an S&W revolver.
If you are happy with your 6-inch 19, I’d not let it go. The configuration of your gun is no handicap. I prefer it that way, but maybe that is a minority view? I’ve no need for TH & TT on a Model 19, and the Patridge front sight is helpful if you shoot any distance. I’d keep your present gun and pay cash for the 4-incher.
