Anybody have any opinions on this? I bought lots of reloading bullets, when they had some blems at a decent price.

I believe it's Double Tap that has a 135 at 1350.
And the gel test results stated "frag-nasty".

I have several hot/safe-pressure loads with these things, up to about 1500 fps from my Glock 22. I would like to be able to use them for defense. But just no opinions to be found.

Of course, I wouldn't want to be shot with one of them!

Well Dave, you may be in somewhat uncharted waters. When I found myself there while developing my .44 magnum 165 gr. JHP handload, I bought a block of Perma-Gel and shot a couple woodchucks to get the answers to my questions.

Thanks for the post flop-shank.

I may have to do something like that. All I've ever done is compare penetration thru dry old hardback books. Under this condition, the 1400 plus 135 jhp went several inches further than the heavier bullets. Course nothing going to open in dthis dry paper. It's not my desire to reinvent the wheel, but I have 1000 of those suckers that I hate to just shoot up.

Oh well, maybe someone will come up with some data.....

regards, and thanks again,

dave
