40 VE

Hey RedHouse and Ricdoc I have a 40gve with a hogue grip also...I put mine on the same way as ricdoc has his, becuase i had it on the other way and it cramed my middle finger ut into the trigger gaurd and didn't like the way it felt, so i turned it over and it feels much better...

I've had one for a couple of years now. Mine has the black frame with stainless slide. Great gun for the money. Never a burp and I have put a few thousand through it so far. Started handloading for it this past winter. No problem with lead bullets or functioning from light to hot rounds.

Tim M, try doing a search for sigma reviews on the forum search function. A wealth of knowledge is to be found. Erich (another board member) has a great review about his 9ve.

I've had mine for about a year now haven't had a single problem yet. You get used to the trigger and it gets better the more you shoot it.

I've had mine for several years now ($269, brand new), bought it when the 10-round mag law was in effect.

IT SUCKS !! Well, at least when I have the stoo-pid 10 rounders in. I don't know why, but with them, it was unreliable.

I bought some pre-ban 15 rounders, and all was well. It never fails with those mags and is probably one of the very last pistols I'd ever get rid of.

But if it works for ya.......

Than noticable huh? Well, as everyone said, I tried the "right" way but it just didnt feel right. To be honest, I first applied it the wrong way and someone told me it was wrong. So I put it the right way and I just didnt like it. My hands/fingers are fat so it didnt feel as good as the "wrong" way. So I went back with the wrong way.

But it works for me. Thanks for lookin out.

no...not really that noticeable. It's just that I have recently put a couple of the same grips on my guns...

I tried turning mine around...and you guys are right,it does feel a bit better. Only problem is...I already trimmed mine to be flush on the bottom of the grip! Oh well....

Hey Red,

No problem as you will find out, or probably already know, after a while the grip becomes lose and does start to move while shooting. So at some point, you're gonna have to change'em out anyway.

Very good pistol...I've had mine now for three years not one problem....I did the trigger job and replace the trigger return spring with a wolf spring...polished the barrel and put a houge grip on it...I carry it everyday....

I have had mine ( SW40VE) for about 3 years. I am looking for some sights for it. Doe's anyone know what sights are available for the Sigma.

Interesting info. I've had mine for over 8 years. I had MAJOR feed problems, but now I'm thinking that i only have the feed problems with the 10 round mag. The 15 round mag seems to be okay. I'll need to check into it more and get another 15 round mag as well.

I'd be happy to know which IWB holster you guys are using. I have a leather paddle holster, but I really don't like carring a gun that way. I feel like a cop, and I think it prints too much. Much easier to get to, but I'm pretty sure that some people can tell.
