Will a tsw fit a non tsw leather holster?also,is there a metal aftermarket rail for these?

I suspect the leather holster being compatible for both the 4013 and 4013TSW depends on the manufacturer and holster model.

The answer is yes for a Don Hume H715-M WCS single clip IWB holster Fit Code 33T.

I have a 4053 that uses a Fit Code 33, and it is a great thin leather holster with solid retention that works well in our humid NC summers. The single clip design allows the holster to be positioned on waistband either strong side or weak side depending on task or preference.

I haven't heard nor seen an aftermarket metal rail for these.

Are you trying to put a rail on a 4013 or a 4013TSW without the rail or replace the rail on a 4013TSW with a rail or at least the holes for the rail?

If you are trying to put a rail on a 4013 or early non-railed 4013TSW, I think the answer is NO - the frame geometry is different and adding an aftermarket rail would be a challenge at best.

But if you are trying to replace a rail or put one on a late TSW that had the holes, I would contact SW. They may have the rails, but even if they have a replacement rail, the rivets might stop you unless you can get them to do installation.

And be aware the 1998-2008 SW 3rd Generation rail geometry may not meet current standard rail geometry - there are reports of accessories not fitting correctly unless you choose a specific accessory.

I would call S&W Monday - see if they can replace or re-rivet it - and post your results - I have a very nice 5946TSW with a beat up rail - would replace if they offer that service.


PS BDH probably around 2005-2006 - I have 2 BDK dated by SW as 2006.

The 4013 is on the large frame and the 4013TSW, either pre-rail or railed, are on the medium frame.

You can see by the size difference in just the barrels that the non-TSW is larger.

Two different holster sizes.
