4013TSW purchase w/ good story

I was passing through town and stopped off at a LGS. Found a police trade in 4013TSW, with some holster wear. Price was very good, but it only came with 1 magazine- blue follower.

While I was there, I was eyeballing another pistol, and called the next day to inquire about a trade deal on a long gun that I had for the other pistol. The manager told me the details about the trade in offer, and how it wouldn't work out for either of us at that time, and I understood. He then said, "I was going to call you anyway, as I found the original box on the 4013TSW you purchased yesterday". Then I asked if it had any extra magazines, and he said, "Yes, two"!!!

When I picked up the box, it had all sorts of goodies in it! This LGS will certainly get my business as this was very cool of them to give me the magazines, box, and docs, after the sale on a used gun.

Not knowing a whole lot about the differences between the railed and non-railed guns,
does anybody know if those mim parts were standard on the railed versions??

Very nice score! I have two of those puppies; one without a rail, & one that has had the rail removed, like yours. I agree that it was cool of the shop to let you know about the "extras". I don't care what anyone says,. I like having the box & docs! If they aren't available it won't keep me from buying a pistol I want, but I sure consider them a major plus.

Congrats. As it happens, found a pre-rail one yesterday myself at an LGS. Condition excellent, and $50 less than the average GB price. Also, the first 4013TSW in PA I have seen in about a year. No case or other goodies though. I am jealous.

I had a similar thing happen to me. I found a 845 at a LGS & they said no box/papers/mags, just the gun & one mag. I negotiatated a lower price & bought it. A few months later, when they were doing their end-of-year inventory they found the box, along with some extras in it, & took the time to research my phone number to let me know it was waiting for me. It's nice to get a pleasant surprise!
