I was at a show yesterday and saw a 4026. I've never seen one before.
It looked excellent with the box. No marks, no scratches in the mag well from inserting the mag. They were asking $550. I thought that was high considering that there are 4006s available for $350.

How rare is a 4026?

Very rare. I believe they were made to one customer's specifications, for a frame mounted decocking mechanism, all steel, .40 S&W. Kansas City PD???

$550 for that was a good deal. They show up on the auction sites every now and then, but they are generally difficult to find.

Almost all 3rd generation guns were available with the Sig style decocker after the FBI requested the 1076 to have one. Most were only made '91-93 and not in great numbers, I've had several of them, they are a pain to fully strip if ever need be.

You don't see a lot of them so it would be worth more than a standard 4006, if you want one that is.

I sold a 4026 a couple of years ago for around 400. I think they made in the area of 350-400 guns.

The gun was in near new condition, if not new. However, I don't own a 40 and don't really want to add another caliber, so, I didn't pursue it.
Just thought it was interesting.
