I'm currently working on customizing a S&W 4053. I've had the frame finished in matte black Ceracoat and I've done a mirror polish on the slide which I will soon engrave (I'm a hobbyist engraver). My problem is with the grip. I would like to add a custom grip but have not found a source that has what I want. Hogue makes 4053 grips but in wood only. They also have a material called Black Pearl that I believe would give the look I'm after but they advised they could not do a 4053 grip in the Black Pearl material. I guess they don't have a "custom shop" type function. Anybody know of a shop that may be a source for custom gen 3 grips using synthetic materials? Thank you for your time.
