This…. There was a “Model 58” Police Load and a Model 57 hunting load. The problem was nothing at the time was a classic load named Special like the .38 and .44 had. Had the Police load been pushed instead of the full house Magnum load it would have helped. I have High Desert Cartridge loading me a .41 Mag 210 XTP that duplicates the Police Load and it is a great cartridge. I have fallen in love with the round again.

41 Mags were standard issue where I used to work, but before my time. And sort of related; from your posts in the no-lock thread, I get the impression you are associated with Lipsey's. Is there any scuttlebutt on if the new Mountain Gun may be released in 41 Mag? I have no intention of buying another firearm, but if they release that, my mind will quickly change.
