They really hit you for 410 and 28ga. ammo.
I've always reloaded 410 in the 2 1/2" shell. Really cheap that way at only a 1/2oz of lead and 12gr of powder. The wads and primer cost the same.
Unless you shoot a bunch they always said it didn't pay to reload,,but at $15 a box,,you can make the cost of a single stage press back pretty quick,,especially if you can pick up a decent used one.
Some other 410 shooters I know that burn alot of ammo shooting skeet and sporting clays just buy ammo in quantity and sell the once fired hulls to get some of their money back. They go for a premium over 12 and 20ga hulls.
They just don't want to spend the time reloading.
