Purchased an used but in new condition S&W 411. A call to S&W informed me that it was made in 1993. I had purchased my sister-N-law an 915 NIB a few years ago ( It was odd, marked 915,but came with two ten round mags.,steel guide rod,but Novak looking plastic sights). I decided I liked it and thought about picking one up for myself, but never did. When I saw this one I took the plunge. I am pleased with the pistol and the .40S&W round.

The 915 and 411 were brought out in '93 as the "Value line" S&Ws'. Basicly the 5904 and 4004 they were shipped with just one mag and the non-Novak rear sight. With the AWB of '94 they changed them to the 910 and 410 and redesigned the slide for less machine work and the plastic sights plus a few other small parts. Your 915 probably came about during the transition to the 10rd guns or someone made off with the hi-cap during that time frame.
