The members here have been so quick & accurate with answers, this one'll be just slow lob type pitch.

Did S&W ever (or do they now) make a 44 mag with fixed sights?

If so, model number(s) please.

Thanks!

PS I've found that N frames are too big for my short fingers.
Is there an L-frame 44?

He has a fixed sight N-Frame .44 Mag.
There have been L-Frame .44 Specials. The first was the M696, then the hammerless Titanium cylinder M296. There have been a few more over the years based on the L-Frame. They are all 5 shot models.

If you want a 44 mag fixed sight then your only option is a 629 carry comp. You can always get the grip frame re shaped to k instead of N.

Yes they did. Here's an example...629-5 made for Camfour Dist. Co. These came with Hogue rubber grips. Mine is wearing some Spegel ones in the pics.

The model 329ng is fixed sights, but it also only weighs about as much as a steel jframe, so I'm sure it's a real BLAST to shoot!!! It's the kind of gun to be carried a lot and shot a little

I was at a gun show somewhere a couple of years ago and some dealer had three of them on his table. They were not priced to far out on line.

Shooting4Life and Cocked & Locked,

Beautiful .44's. Thanks for posting those pictures. Just for entertainment, I test drove an M&P 45 last week for comparison to my revolvers. Really liked it but I'm not sure I would have long-term commitment to the semi-auto experience. The .44 revolver, on the other hand, is something that I would have no problem saying, "I do".

My wife is going to sign me up for a S&W 12-step program...

Chris
