JR Riley,

If it is a Triple Lock, we are very interested is seeing it. It would have been produced somewhere in the 1914 period.

Give us a description of the caliber, barrel length (measure from the muzzle to the front of the cylinder), grips and any other details you can add.

Regarding pictures: When you open the reply window, there is a link to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS at the bottom of the page. If you follow that link, it will allow you to attach the file names of your pictures on your computer and we can open the thumbnails of it.

An interesting serial. I owned 14382 at one time, and it was a 2nd model 44. This is right at the change period, so anything is possible. Production date can vary by a wide margin from ship date. Remember, this was WWI. Because I don't know the OP here, I have to ask the question. Does it have the underlug on the barrel? Does the 3rd lock stick out of the crane?

Dick is right about the variance between the manufacturing date and the shipping date. The number I gave in my first post is from the SCSW.

I have #14387 (just 4 numbers away from the OP's gun). Mine is a 6.5" Triple Lock Target and it shipped 12-8-1917.
