Would love this old gun to reappear on the market, originals in my part of the world are as rare as hens teeth. Go years before you see one up for sale.
I see S&W are bringing back some of the old classics, do this one for me!!!
Like the look of the revamped model 27, dont like the lock though, safe gun is an unloaded gun locked away from unauthorised hands. I like em all but as everyone else budget restraints restrict me.

This old TL is a fine shooter:

S&W could probably do it--at a premium price, of course. Considering some of the strange Frankenguns they've come up with, it would be a nice development.

I think they would sell, too...

It would have been especially neat for them to introduce it during 2007, the 100th Anniversary Year. But, I agree, even a 2009 or 2010 Triple Lock would be great and sell well.

And, while we are wishing...make it a Triple Lock, not a Quadruple Lock.

Lovely picture sir,
Yes it would have to be triple lock only not quad. I would be prepared to pay 2 or 3k for one, Smiths replica or remanufactured Schofield sold in Austalia when they came out for $2500, surely the triple lock would not be so complex to re-make. But I really have no idea of the costs involved for tooling etc, but if they researched and did a bussiness risk assessment, it might be viable. Here's hoping. Oh By the way if S&W are watching its gotta be 44spl, although 44 Russian would be tempting.
