442/642 Moon Clips

Does anyone know of a source for STEEL (not SS) moon clips? The ones from TK are good, but tend to bend and deform too easy. Have tried S&W, but they always seem to be "Out of stock".

Anyone have any suggestions ?

I think the S&W OEM clips are made by TK. Not sure of another source.

I'd like to know what you are doing to them to cause them to bend and deform. I have seven guns that use moon clips and shoot three of them in competition. I can't ever remember bending a moon clip, unless someone accidentally stepped on them at the range.

If you are trying to load and unload the clip by hand or by some makeshift means (pliers, dowel), you need to invest in a good moon clip loader and a demooner.

If you are pocket carrying loaded clips, you need to get some of TK's holders for that purpose.

You can try Revolver Supply or Ranch Products, but if you are bending TK's I doubt you'll do any better with anyone elses.
