44s with Carved/Inlaid Stocks

I have always had an interest in unique stocks and those carved and inlaid with ivory by Alvin White are the best. Below are photos of stocks by him on two scarce 44s, namely, a 1950 44 Target with a 4-inch barrel, bright blue finish, red ramp, white outline, and TT/TH shipped in November 1955; and a Model 29-2 with a 5-inch barrel shipped in March 1963. These stocks make these special revolvers even more special :D. Click on the photos for a better look.

Those look great on the 44's Doc.

The top pair look like some that Bob R had in a glass display, they are stunning in person.:D

Beautiful grips!!! The standing ivory bear looks a lot like something seen on German engraved guns of the 1950s and may be the work of Otto Bock, Gustav Schildbach, or one of the other talented German engravers.
