My 45s, not 1911 to be seen.
The group for size comparison.
Star Megastar in Starvel. Nearly 3 lbs of steel. A semi for Yosemite Sam, even Bill Ruger would call it overbuilt. Fewer than 5500 made, some were blued and IIRC less than 1000 were also made in 10 mm.
Sarsilmaz SARK2 45. A Turkish take on the CZ 97. Takes 14 round mags.
The black paint finish is a bit delicate, sadly.
XD Tactical. These were available at fire sale prices at CDNN for months. Eventually I caved.

All I've got are old "hero" 45's (1 left in the safe)
No two-tones, no stainless, no match grade anything, sights hardly worth a hoot, no fancy grips, all are (were) correct and original. Colt, Remington-Rand, Sistema Argentine all gone to other collectors. Lonely Ithaca remains...
No trophy winners here...…….just old hero guns.....would love to have heard their stories from those that carried them wherever, and whenever.

Sorry for the crummy pics, but these old warhorses are camera shy and prefer no lighting....they don't want to expose their scars and warts.
