.45 Auto Headstamp "MFS"??

Found one with the MFS headstamp. Never have seen it before. Anyone?

My references indicate two possibilities:

1. Magyar Löszergyártó Kft., Mátravidéki Fémmüvek, H-332 Sirok, Hungary

2. MFS Munitions Factory, Sundari, Nepal

It would appear that the Hungarian source is the likely one, as the Nepalese factory is for domestic military production only.

Hungarian, as John pointed out.

A large lot of MFS was imported to the US about 5-6 years ago.

About the same time, MFS also made 45ACP ammo under contract for Fiocchi, with Fiocchi headstamps, but the red-wine-colored Fiocchi box said "Made in Hungary" in the fine print.

They brought in mildly corrosive steel case 7.62x39 as well.

I bought a 600 round case of it about 12 years ago. I have since shot all of it,from what I recall clean burning and accurate.

I've shot and reloaded thousands of rounds of MFS in .45 ACP. Works great. I still have a few hundred factory rounds I got from AIM a few years ago.
