RIm thickness, approx.
.45 Colt ----- 0.0615
.45 Auto RIm -- 0.0910

I got the dimensions from the
Hornady drawings showing cartridge
dimensions.

And when one of those cases gets mixed in with your .45 ACP brass, it really jams up a Dillon 650!

I have a 1917 S&W revolver in which it will work. I also believe the Model 22 (A replica of the 1917) will shoot it. Likewise for my 625JM. Additionally, while autorim will fit in a Governor, S&W says not to use it.

Basically, the S&W 45 models cut for moon clips can shoot autorim EXCEPT for the Governor.
