My wife gave me the go-ahead to buy a new gun with the old tax return, and I think I want one of these too. I held it on Friday, and was sooooo close to buying it, but the shop was closing up, so I guess I was saved by the bell. I may go back there tomorrow.......

My first M&P was a FS 45. Fell in love with it enough where I jumped on a compact 9 when offered here by a local member. Enjoying both enough where I've been really wondering if I "NEED" a 45C lately :-)

M+P 40

I use an M+P 40 as a service weapon, and am considering buying an M+P 45 compact for personal use. I really like the gun.

Sorry tried to post this the other day but I guess it didn't go through. I actually recieved my new 45 compact on Saturday and took it to the range Sunday. All I can say is WOW!! I'm a convert, I have two other S&W 3rd gen compact 45's so I can compare them. The M&P just feels good when you pick it up, it points very naturally, and is well balanced. I put a 100+ rounds through it without a single issue. At 7 and ten yards it shot just a little low 1-2 inches with blazer 230 gr ball, and I was getting consitant sub 3 inch groups with a standard weaver grip. I also shot a few winchester and gold dot hollow points without a hitch. Awsome handgun, recoil was less than any other 45 I've ever fired, and double taps were easy and accurate, the only problem I had is the trigger feels a little gritty, however that was a minor issue, and should work itself out. I went and ordered a M-Tac holster for it, and will be retiring my 4516 for CCW. I'm seriously impressed, and I am considering making the 9mm my next purchase for my wife.

Thanks for the update.I need to get one of them now.
