Other than the length does anybody know if they are the same? I also wonder if the .45 Compact is the same as the full size except for length. Thanks, Bob

the Shield is a single stack, the compact and full size are double stack, the compact and the full size are same other than barrel length

I have my 45 shield in a hybrid kydex body/shell and leather backing that was made for a 9mm/40. It fits well and will do until I get what I want from pjholster.com

So how does single stack or double stack matter when it comes to a holster? Is the slide wider for a double stack?

Thanks for the responses from everybody. Here and elsewhere I read that a lot of people were using holsters for several different M&P pistols. I used to interchange things like that but have gotten picky these days. I also found that I plain old don't like holsters that come in a package that lists a bunch of pistols it will work for. I guess I'm lucky that I'm older now and can afford to get the holster I want. I wanted to send my Crossbreed Supertuck back to have it switched from fitting a Glock 36 to the .45 Shield but they don't respond to my email. I will have to order another one for the .45 Shield I guess.

My shield 45 will NOT fit in my shield 9 kydex IWB holster. I guess I should mention that the 45 does fit in the leather OWB pancake holster I built for my shield 9.

It fits in my DeSantis Intruder hybrid for the Shield 9, but not in the 9mm specific kydex holster. It also fits in my leather holsters for the Shield 9.
