45 super?

Your semiauto needs to be properly sprung before you consider using .45 Super or the increased recoil will beat the gun to death. I'm sure Ruger would never condone the use of .45 Super in any handgun that they manufacture.

Those of us with our technologically inferior Model 625 revolvers can shoot .45 Super without modification to our revolvers.

You should research this well. Many have done this with other brands 1911 and never a single issue except for accelerated wear... A case failure due to improper conversion is bad. I have seen results of failed conversion (case failure). Manufacturers for conversion parts recommend this not be done to investment-cast frames.
